Writing started twenty years ago on yellow paper

I started writing in early high school, more than two decades ago now. The first complete piece was a short fantasy story I wrote on my dad's computer and printed on yellow paper because that was all we had at the time. The original has been lost since, which still bothers me, because I would love to give it a proper release today.

It got an A+, and my teacher asked me to read it to the class. I did not manage to do that part. It was embarrassing at the time, but it proved something more useful: writing could hold a reader's attention, even if the writer could not hold a room's.

After that, I decided children's books would be the way to kick off a real publishing career. In a way, it was. The Silly Cell was the proof that I could finish a project end-to-end on my own: write it, illustrate it, publish it. That was the real launch of my writing career.

The same long-form habit carried into the ALBRON series, a dark fantasy saga set in Athmyra. The first book, Fracture, is readable in the browser with an optional read-aloud mode. More of the saga will be revealed as it is ready.
