/ about
A regular mind, following the thread.
I'm Will, Australian born, father of two (plus a few more via donation). I write, I build, and I try to understand things, usually in that order, sometimes all at once. The work moves between books, software, and the quieter project of staying well enough to keep doing both.

- Stage 01/ ledger
Diploma of Finance (Accounting)
The first credential. Learned the grammar of value early, how money moves, how organisations breathe, and how to read a business from its books.
- Stage 02/ trade
Electrical Apprenticeship
Years later, swung in the opposite direction, tools in hand, 7 days a week for 12 months. Public holidays and sick days the only relief. Longest single stint: 56 days straight. Ceded only when the opportunity to continue ran out.
- Stage 03/ science
Bachelor of Biomedical Science
Back to the books, anatomy, physiology, biochem, the systems that keep us upright. The hard-science foundation that still shapes how I think about health, data, and human performance.
- Stage 04/ clinic
Radiology · Melbourne Medical School (Rural)
Radiology tickets and two interviews for the MMS rural pathway. A door that closed for reasons of circumstance, not capability, and redirected everything that came next.
- Stage 05/ operate
Finance · Operations · Project Director
10+ years in finance, now leading finance, operations, and projects at a health and medical products company. Multi-brand, multi-source, structurally messy, the exact terrain that fostered the love of building software.
- Stage 06/ build
Coding, Data Stitcher, Globies, internal tools
Shopify add-ons, accounts-receivable automation, NDIS client management, data management layers. Data Stitcher got its legs as the first serious answer to a business no off-the-shelf tool could cleanly handle.
- Stage 07/ write
The Albron Series · Athmyra
Currently writing the Albron series, fantasy for young adult readers, set in the world of Athmyra co-developed with my uncle Tim and our friend Tom in Czechia. Long-running worldbuilding, finally taking book form.
/ current chapter
Director by day, builder by everything-else.
I lead finance, operations, and project delivery at a health and medical products company, a complicated business with multiple brands and data sources that no product on the market handled cleanly. That gap is where Data Stitcher started: a real answer to a real mess. From there it generalised into a suite, and into tools like Globies.
The internal builds keep stacking up, Shopify add-ons, AR automation, NDIS client management, data plumbing, the kind of work that's only boring until you see what it unlocks for the people who used to do it by hand.
/ philosophy
Old questions get sharper, not duller, as the tools change. I read across politics, science, ethics, and the strange edge where they meet.
/ code
Software as a craft, small tools that respect the people using them. The Data Stitcher suite and Globies are where most of this lives.
/ writing
The Albron series for young adult fantasy readers, set in the world of Athmyra, co-built over years with my uncle Tim and Tom in Czechia. Non-fiction and children's health science alongside it.

Current obsessions
- → how small groups become trustworthy fast
- → data tools that vanish into the work
- → children's science as serious literature
- → the philosophy hiding inside health
- → fiction that takes ideas at full speed
- → training the body like a long-running system
